夏天吃瓜 冬天吃菜

香港當造時令的常見本地瓜果

不時不種，不時不食。食物該種在當造時、吃在當造時。所謂當造，就是該類作物最適合生長的時節，順應天然生長習性，不但產量多、價錢平、味道佳、營養高，亦因無需施加大量肥料和殺蟲劑，栽種過程對土地較友善，也較有益。正所謂夏天吃瓜，冬天吃菜，隨著不同地域的氣候變化，一年四季在不同地方，也有不同的蔬果輪流當造。
