The predecessor of HealthWorks was Tong Zhi Tang, which was founded in 1989 and sold traditional herbal tea at that time. In 2000, the HealthWorks was established to replace Tong Zhi Tang, and the company shifted from providing traditional herbal tea to providing healthy and nourishing drinks suitable for urban life.
