Why do vegetables need to be wrapped in plastic bags?
We want to reduce the use of plastic bags, the reasons why we use plastic bags:
- Not because of beauty
- Not for convenience
- We use food-grade plastic bags to reduce the use of "rubbish plastic bags" on the market
- Some vegetables sold in supermarkets, including organic vegetables, have undergone some chemical treatment procedures, such as the use of hypochlorous acid water and fungicides, but we do not!
Because vegetables have no residual pesticides and no preservatives, separate packaging bags are needed to reduce the invasion of foreign microorganisms or bacteria, reduce the impact of air on vegetables, and reduce the chance of human-hand infection during transportation.
We have tried to find other more environmentally-friendly and effective methods. We have tried using paper bags and other solutions, but none of them have been effective... So for the time being, we can only compromise with individual packaging bags. Most of the packaging bags we use are plastic materials that can be recycled and reused. Customers can collect them and return them to the recycling bins near their residences.
We receive and fully understand this. At present, there is still a big difference between the expectations of our agriculture and consumers. We hope to use our power to change some of our practices.
We hope that customers can witness our growth and progress in the near future. We have a lot of restrictions at the moment, but consumers can influence producers 🙏🏼👍✔️❤️. In the past, we have delivered "vegetables" without individual packaging at the request of customers, but this was just a matter of logistics colleagues removing the plastic bags. We believe that "green washing" is not as good as education. Encouraging recycling can change habits, while also supporting the importance of reducing waste at the source.
Respect and appreciate nature, so we strive to reform and use more environmentally friendly packaging methods such as biodegradable plastic bags. We will listen carefully to your opinions and understand that the current plastic bag practice is not perfect, and we will continue to work hard to find other ways to improve packaging. producers 🙏🏼👍✔️❤️.
Of course, if you want to reduce waste, you can write down "in independent packaging" in the remarks column when purchasing, and our colleagues will pack and ship according to your opinion. When the customer receives the goods, they must immediately check that they are not broken or are stored due to changes in transportation and temperature.
