Healthy Express Implements the Green Online Shop Charter
Healthy Express has participated in the "Green Online Store Charter", and promises to implement environmental protection measures on this platform, reduce waste from the source, and contribute to the protection of the earth.
Green options agreed in the Green Online Store Charter:
- ♻️ Improve the web page, add options to allow customers to choose a more environmentally friendly packaging method,
- ♻️ Use secondary packaging to pack the goods,
- ♻️ Use recyclable packaging materials,
- ♻️ Reduce the usage rate of packaging materials (please refer to the "Waste Reduction Industry Handbook for Online Stores")
Executed projects:
- On the egg product order information, customers are encouraged to indicate "Return the egg plastic box" in the product options.
- There is an option for customers to choose "no gift box".
- Reuse of secondary packaging materials (original carton of goods or recycled packaging) packaging: use the supplier's carton.
- Use recyclable packaging materials (recyclable and single material (paper, PE), do not use PVC to facilitate recycling).
- Reduction in plastic bag usage: Button-down cartons eliminate the need for adhesive tape (mainly Homegrown Foods customer).
- Try to use food-grade PE plastic material (a kind of recyclable plastic) as packaging material, hope to change the industry practice to commonly use PVC (The Poison Plastic) [What is PVC? What is the impact of the PVC plastic material banned by the EPA on the environment and health? ]
Door-to-door recycling (the last packaging can be collected during door-to-door delivery):
- How to achieve it: Recycle ice pack and the aluminium thermal pack.
Planned environmental protection measures:
- More comprehensive use of cartons to reduce the number of plastic bags used.
- Long-term plan to recycle cartons from customers.
- On the page confirming the order information, customers are encouraged to indicate "individual packaging" in the remarks column.
- Use high-quality and reusable ice (ice bricks), encourage customers to reuse or recycle to us.
- Replacing and supplying biodegradable environmentally friendly plastic bags
