Chuen Lung Watercress

⛰️Tai Mo Shan has a unique environment, cool temperature🌡️, and clear water💧, making it a famous local product - Chuen Lung watercress. Since the 1950s, every household in Chuen Lung has grown watercress, which is a rare place in Hong Kong where watercress can be grown in all seasons, and it also provided vegetable seeds to other producing areas at that time.

At present, there are only a few farms left in Tai Mo Shan to grow watercress, which are divided into dryland and wetland watercress. Yuet Loi Farm is one of the few farms that organically grows dryland watercress.

The owner, Mr. Zhong Lo-Kwong, insists on collecting chicken feathers, fish intestines and fish gills in the market every day to make his own natural organic fertilizer 🌱. The watercress produced by him is nutritious and full of strong vegetable flavor. The color of the dish is dark green, the veins grow red blood roots, and the stems are tender and slag-free, very delicious! 👍🏼 Mr. Zhong also inherited the planting skills of his parents, plus long-term observation and practice, so as to create his own planting method. It is also very particular about the time of dropping fertilizer, water control, picking methods, etc., so there is nothing simple behind a good watercress!
