Dried Toyama Persimmons (Toyama Hoshigaki) are a traditional specialty from Toyama Prefecture, Japan. They are meticulously crafted from premium "Hyakume" persimmons, hand-peeled, and naturally sun- and air-dried using centuries-old techniques. No sugar or preservatives are added, preserving the pure, intense sweetness and rich aroma of the fruit. During drying, a delicate white layer of natural persimmon frost forms on the surface. The result is a soft yet chewy texture with an exceptionally sweet, caramel-like flavor and deep persimmon fragrance. [Toyama Dried Persimmons] have an orange-yellow appearance, resembling golden bells.Made from fresh "Fukumi Persimmons" grown in Toyama Prefecture, Japan, retaining 50% of their moisture content, they are dried using high-tech far-infrared drying equipment.No added sugar or artificial additives are used. They have a very chewy texture, and the core retains the original aroma of fresh persimmons.Although they have 50% less moisture, their sweetness is actually enhanced compared to fresh persimmons, resulting in an incredibly rich persimmon flavor.The production process involves repeated drying, pressing, sterilization, packaging, and freezing, with each persimmon carefully selected to ensure quality.Dried persimmons differ from dried persimmons; they have a denser texture, higher moisture content, and a higher sweetness.
