🛍 Product Information：
Xizhoumi (often written 西洲蜜瓜) is a premium commercial name for Xinjiang thick-skinned netted sweet melons, especially cultivars such as Xizhoumi No. 25. Fruit is neatly oval, with pale yellow-green to golden rind and fine, clear netting; flesh is orange-red, thin-skinned and thick. Center sweetness typically 15–18° Brix, crisp-juicy, lightly aromatic and low in fiber. Core origin is Turpan; Hainan and other regions supply off-season fruit.
Xizhoumi is a commercial designation for improved Hami-type netted melons associated with ancient “Xizhou” (Turpan). Leading cultivars include Xizhoumi 17 and especially Xizhoumi 25, bred in Xinjiang for more uniform shape, netting, sweetness and shelf performance than many heirloom Hami types.Typical fruit is oval, 1.5–2.5 kg, with yellow-green to golden rind and fine complete netting. Flesh is orange-red, thick and relatively low-fiber. Center soluble solids are commonly 15.6–18%. Flavor is crisp-sweet and juicy with a clean melon aroma.
Best quality is linked to Turpan’s climate. Hainan supplies winter–spring fruit of the same cultivar group. Nutrition is typical of sweet melon: high water, natural sugars, vitamin C, carotenoids and potassium. Eat fresh; choose well-netted, fragrant, heavy fruit and store briefly chilled.
🍎 Preserve fruits
1. Fruits especially with softer skin, if packaged, should be placed in the cold box in the original package;
