Tomato germination, flowering, pollination and fruiting are all easily affected by temperature, and have their most suitable temperature. When the temperature is lower than 15 degrees, it will grow slowly, and it will not bloom or pollinate poorly; at 5 degrees, the growth of stems and leaves will stop, and even start to freeze to death below 1 degree.

In addition, tomatoes are not resistant to heat, and above 35 degrees will affect flowering and fruiting; 40 degrees will stop growth. Therefore, tomato seeds are most suitable for germination at 28-32 degrees (minimum 10 degrees; maximum 35 degrees); the minimum temperature at the seedling stage should not be lower than 13 degrees, higher than 33 degrees, otherwise it will affect the flower bud differentiation.

The temperature at night is easy to affect the tomato performance. The best temperature during the flowering period is 25 degrees during the day and 17 degrees at night; the best temperature during the fruiting period is 25-28 degrees during the day and 16-20 degrees at night. If the temperature at night is higher than 23-24 degrees, it will not bear fruit even if it blooms.

Seed Introduction

Field management

1. Replenishing seedlings in time: Adhere to the principles of early thinning, sub-thinning, and late setting of seedlings, remove miscellaneous seedlings, weak seedlings, deformed seedlings, diseased and pest seedlings, and select varieties with leaf shapes, bright green colors, and stretched leaves. 2. Top dressing and watering: The correct use of fertilizer and water to balance the growth of the above-ground part and the underground part is the key to high yield.

Harvest:

When harvesting, remove the leaves and fibrous roots and wash them with clean water.
