💥💥 The Perks of Being Wild 《
The film "Wild Grass", produced by the independent film team "Lang Yinghua" and written and directed by Gu Bensen, was filmed in Cheung Chau. It tells the story of the people and things that three children encountered during a summer vacation, thus bringing out the growth and separation in them.
In the movie, Cheung Chau during the summer vacation is a paradise outside the bustling city. Three children and a dog sneak into different people's homes when the island residents go out for travel or immigrate with their families. While having fun, they also secretly uncover the secrets of the adult world through the eyes of children.
This series of films is based on the themes of growth and separation, but it is not sentimental. Instead, it is playful and unrestrained, vaguely responding to the current emotions and changes of Hong Kong people.
Against the backdrop of Cheung Chau’s trees and grass, young faces wander around the island like lush weeds swaying in the wind. Before watching the movie, one can already feel a unique passion, frivolity, and even an endless breath of youth.
After the screening, the film team will share with us the ideas behind the film’s creation and the growth moments that nourished the creation of “Wild Grass”.
