Apa Wangkiat, an expert in Durian, also pointed out that the long-handled Durian produced in Numburi is fresh, tender and delicate, unlike the durian produced in other regions, which leaves starch on the hand when eaten.

Long-handled durian is the most expensive durian variety in Numburi. The unit price of a durian is about 320 US dollars, depending on the size. Fruit farmer Nuengruthaisangrung said that the reason why the long-handled durian is expensive is that it has high planting conditions. Each durian will only grow - one or two, and the ripening period is longer than other durians. Fruit farmers will also wait for it to ripe naturally before harvesting to keep the taste sweet. Also because of the high price, long-handled durians are often given as valuable gifts in formal occasions. In an auction in Thailand, the durian was also sold for 47,990 yuan, setting a record for the most expensive durian.
