Product Description：Tamago tofu was born in the Edo period of Japan. The method of making "egg tofu" was introduced in the section "Hundred Treasures of Yuzi" in "The Secret Box of Wanbao Cuisine" published in 1785. Yuzi tofu later spread to Southeast Asia and was introduced to China from Malaysia in the 1990s.

Traditional tamarind tofu is made with eggs and Japanese stock. The ratio of eggs and stock is roughly 1:2, mixed well and steamed. The large-scale production of yuzi tofu in modern factories is generally made of pure water instead of Japanese-style soup stock. Other seasonings and food additives such as sodium pyrophosphate and sodium tripolyphosphate are generally added, and they are packaged in tubular plastic bags.
