Shirley Jujube (TAINONG No.13, also known as Shirley) is a new early-season jujube variety developed by the Fengshan Tropical Horticultural Experiment Station in Taiwan. 

Nicknamed the “Queen of Honey Jujubes” or “Snow White,” it ripens from early December to early January, making it perfect for the pre-Lunar New Year season.


It has a cute, flattened-round shape resembling a small green apple, with thin, glossy skin that appears whitish-yellow with a pinkish tip when mature. The flesh is fine-textured, white, extremely juicy and crisp, offering high sweetness (often over 14° Brix) balanced with a pleasant mild acidity—refreshing and never cloying, with virtually no astringency typical of traditional jujubes. It has excellent storage and shipping quality, making it a premium, highly sought-after variety.
