🛍  Product Information :

Sun-dried organic dandelion is the whole edible herb—most often the leaves and tender aerial parts, sometimes with young stems or a portion of root—gently dried after harvest. What looks like a common lawn plant becomes a concentrated, caffeine-free kitchen herb: grassy-bitter, mineral-rich, and useful as tea, soup garnish, or a light “detox” broth.

Dandelion is native to Eurasia and now grows worldwide. In Chinese medicine it is 蒲公英 (bitter, slightly sweet, cold; enters Liver and Stomach). Organic cultivation and controlled sun-drying matter: wild plants from roadsides or sprayed lawns are not food-safe. Sun-drying reduces moisture to a crisp, shelf-stable state and can concentrate phenolics compared with the fresh leaf.

Flavor
Dried leaf tea: green, grassy, distinctly bitter (like arugula or radicchio), with a clean aftertaste.
If root is included or used alone: earthier, more roasted-coffee when the root is later toasted.
Bitterness is the point—it is the digestive “bitter tonic.” Honey, ginger, red dates, or lemon soften it without hiding the character.

Nutrition (typical of dried leaf / herb)
Fresh leaf is already nutrient-dense; drying concentrates minerals and many polyphenols while lowering water. Notable constituents:

  • Vitamins A (as carotenoids), C, K
  • Potassium (supports the plant’s gentle diuretic effect without the potassium loss of many pharmaceutical diuretics)
  • Calcium, iron, magnesium
  • Phenolic acids (chicoric, chlorogenic) and flavonoids (luteolin, quercetin)
  • Bitter sesquiterpene lactones

Root (if present) adds inulin, a prebiotic fiber. Shade- or sun-dried leaf has been shown in research to retain high total phenolics relative to fresh material.

These are food-level amounts, not a substitute for medical treatment.

Culinary & everyday uses

  • Tea / infusion: 2–4 g dried leaf per cup, covered steep 8–15 minutes. 1–3 cups a day is a common traditional range.
  • Decoction (if root pieces are included): simmer 10–15 minutes.
  • Soups & broths: a small handful in pork-bone, chicken, or vegetable soup; classic pairing with ginger and red dates to balance the cold nature.
  • Seasoning: crush dried leaf into herb salt, compound butter, or a finishing sprinkle for eggs and grain bowls.
  • Rehydrate: brief soak then stir-fry with garlic (bitterness eases with heat and fat).

In Hong Kong kitchens it sits comfortably next to chrysanthemum, honeysuckle, or barley as a light “heat-clearing” drink in humid weather.

Storage
Keep fully dry, airtight, away from light and steam (dark glass jar or foil pouch with a food-grade desiccant). Cool pantry, not next to the stove. Best within 6–12 months; after that aroma and actives fade. Discard if musty or moldy.

Pairings
Ginger, red date, goji, chrysanthemum, lemon peel, honey, roasted barley, light pork or chicken broth. Avoid stacking with strong pharmaceutical diuretics or lithium without professional advice.

Simple serving ideas

  1. Everyday leaf tea — 3 g dried herb + boiling water, steep 10 min. Optional: 2 slices ginger.
  2. Balanced “cooling” soup — 8–10 g dried dandelion, 3 red dates (pitted), 3 slices ginger, 300 g lean pork or chicken; simmer 45–60 min; salt at the end.
  3. Milder evening cup — dandelion + a few goji berries + a strip of dried tangerine peel.

Notes:

Since the quality of food depends entirely on personal feelings, it is very subjective. Whether a food feels healthy or not is affected by many factors, for example, chemically grown vegetables are generally very vigorous and lush, green color; Looks fresh and completely flawless; fresh pork and beef, the supplier will cast a lot of magic, even added clenbuterol, more lean meat can make consumers visually feel the meat is healthy and excellent. Due to this consumer perception, the industry is incentivised to continue using a wide variety of chemical materials, and we often hear that supermarket vegetables and fruits are beautiful and clean, and do not even need to be refrigerated. Do you agree that the impact is requested by the consumer?

Our organic vegetables as well as fruits are not applied with pesticides, hypochlorous acid water, ozone as well as preservatives, in addition, we reduce packaging, and organic vegetables are very prone to quality instability because of their natural growth. Flavor, mouthfeel as well as look will vary depending on delivery time, planting climate as well as harvest time, you may find that following each time you purchase may be completely different.
