Ordinary roti is often called roti kosong ("empty bread" in Malay).

Singapore
Roti prata is a deep-fried flatbread cooked on a flat-bottomed baking tray. It is usually eaten with vegetable or meat curry, and is usually cooked with cheese, onions, bananas, red beans, chocolate, mushrooms or eggs.
Thailand
In Thailand, roti (spelling changes, such as ro tee) are usually sold by street carts, usually by Muslims, and usually halal. Roti thitchu ("tissue" in Thai) is a Thai-style roti canai. After being fried, it is fluffy by tapping on a dry cloth with two hands and served with a Thai-Muslim-style beef curry.
Unlike Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia, Thai variations tend to be sweet rather than spicy or salty. Popular variants include mango, banana, sugar, condensed milk, jam, peanut butter and Nutella roti, although egg roti (usually sprinkled with sweetened condensed milk on top) is also available.
