🌱 Producer introduction:

One of the advantages of regenerative farming is the use of compost for planting. Compost not only provides soil with comprehensive nutrients, but is also a soil conditioner that can improve soil structure and ease soil pH. Composting is to imitate the cycle of nature, piling together biodegradable organic matter (such as fallen leaves, hay, animal carcasses and excrement, etc.) Microorganisms decompose compost and soil trace elements. The composting process involves a large group of organisms breaking down organic matter. Bacteria are the smallest but largest organisms in compost. In a compost pile, about 80-90% of the microorganisms are bacteria, breaking down organic matter into simpler forms for other microorganisms to continue working. Other organisms, such as fungi, secrete enzymes to break down organic matter and then absorb nutrients from it. This form of decomposition can improve soil, making crops less infested and more nutritious.

Regenerative farming uses enzymes and organic compost to allow vegetables to absorb soil minerals. Emphasis is placed on maintaining high levels of soil organic matter, minimising tillage, increasing biodiversity, crop rotation, cover crops, green manure, compost, mulch, etc.
