🛍 Product Information :
The small baby squids are not steamed or fried with garlic, but stuffed with corn and cuttlefish, which is chewy, sweet and full of surprises. The plump diaobengzi looks puffy and like a rocket about to take off. When turned upside down, it actually looks a bit like a white radish. It tastes meaty and is not hard or tough even when turned over.
Squid is a common ingredient in cuisine in East Asia, the Mediterranean and other regions. In Western countries, such as Europe, North America, and Australia, fried squid rings are a very common dish. In addition, there are many squid dishes in Italy and Spain, two countries along the Mediterranean coast.
In English-speaking countries, squid as food is often called calamari, adopted from Italian into English in the 17th century. Squid are found abundantly in certain areas, and provide large catches for fisheries. The body can be stuffed whole, cut into flat pieces, or sliced into rings. The arms, tentacles, and ink are also edible; the only parts not eaten are the beak and gladius (pen). Squid is a good food source for zinc and manganese, and high in copper, selenium, vitamin B12, and riboflavin.
Cooking method:
The ink sac is located near the eye, be careful not to cut it.
· As the dough will shrink after being steamed, stuff it until it is 80% full.
