Origin: France / Netherlands / Italy

Nutritional value: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" (English Idiom). Studies have shown that apples can reduce the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer. At the same time reduce obesity. Apple is used as medicine to treat mild diarrhea, constipation, high blood pressure, etc., and can also be used to prevent fatigue. The pectin contained in apples can help to remove cholesterol from the blood; its crude cellulose can prevent constipation, and it is also rich in vitamin C, chromium, zinc and other trace elements. Appropriate: Suitable for patients with indigestion, dyspnea, lack of breath, irritability, thirst, excessive drinking, mild diarrhea, constipation, neurocolitis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease and cancer. Especially suitable for infants, young children, the elderly and patients. Pregnant women eat an apple a day to reduce pregnancy reactions.

Cooking method:In addition to being eaten raw or made into fruit salads, apples can also be cooked by heating to effectively soften the dietary fiber pectin in the apple, which can promote its absorption and utilization by the human body. Thus it can moisturize the intestines, lax stools, and detoxify , Lower blood pressure and blood lipids and other effects.

Special matters: Do not eat apple cores. Apple cores contain a small amount of hydrocyanic acid, which can cause dizziness, headaches, and faster breathing. Patients with ulcerative colitis should not eat apples raw, and those with poor stomachs should not eat apples on an empty stomach. It is not advisable to eat apples immediately after a meal, nor to overeat them. Studies have pointed out that deep red peels, such as apples, have been tested with Resveraltrol, which can reduce inflammation in the respiratory system, including the trachea and lungs, thereby controlling asthma and chronic obstructive pneumonia.

Contradictions:
1. Apples and onions: When the plant pigments contained in apples and the sulfur compounds of onions are ingested at the same time, they are easily digested and decomposed by the human body to produce substances that inhibit the thyroid, which can induce goiter.
2. Apples and honey: The role of dietary fiber in apples and the laxative effect of honey will speed up intestinal peristalsis and easily cause diarrhea.
