Established in 1975 and based in Gramat in the Lot department, the company is particularly famous for its foie gras (duck liver), as well as other traditional specialties such as confit de canard, duck magret, and various preserved duck preparations.

As a specialist in "canard gras" (fattened duck), Maistres Occitans emphasizes traditional craftsmanship, using whole duck livers prepared manually—whether fresh, semi-cooked (mi-cuit), or canned—to preserve authentic flavors. Their products often carry IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) certification from the Southwest of France, guaranteeing origin and quality.
