Product typeOrgano-mineral fertiliser (EU PFC 1(B)): a co-formulation of inorganic nutrient salts with a biologically derived organic matrix that supplies organic carbon. It is sold for soil application in gardens and planting beds, packed under WOPROFERT® by Simonis Fertilizers B.V., Beuningen, the Netherlands. It is not a certified-organic input unless the bag explicitly carries an organic-farming mark, and it is not water-soluble.
Why 9-9-13+3MgOThe grade is a classic European “fruit-and-flower” soil feed. Equal N and P (9–9) support leaf and root/flower together; the extra K (13) drives fruit quality, colour, water regulation and heat/drought tolerance. The 3% MgO is not a trace add-on — it offsets potassium–magnesium antagonism and supplies the magnesium atom in chlorophyll, which is easily leached from sandy mixes, peat-based potting media and high-rainfall subtropical soils (including Hong Kong).
How it behaves in soilMineral N, P, K and Mg dissolve relatively quickly after watering. Organic N and the humic fraction mineralise over weeks to months, feed soil biology, and help hold cations against leaching. Compared with Woprofert’s 4-3-3 chicken-manure pellet, this grade delivers far more units of NPK per kilogram, so rates are lower. Compared with a 20-20-20 crystal, it is slower, safer for base dressing, and adds organic carbon the water-soluble line does not.
UseBroadcast and incorporate, or ring-feed around plants, then water in. Typical garden order of magnitude is 50–150 g/m² depending on crop and soil test (about 100 g/m² supplies roughly 9 g N, 9 g P₂O₅, 13 g K₂O and 3 g MgO). Keep granules off stems. Do not run this product through drip lines.
LimitsExact organic-carbon %, N-form split (organic vs ammoniacal/urea), chloride, sulphur and micronutrients are batch-specific and were not published for this SKU on the manufacturer’s public catalogue. Treat the 9-9-13+3MgO figures as the declared nutrients; read the bag for the rest. Always adjust to a soil test in intensive vegetable or orchard use.
