Nutritional value: The sugar content of ripe Date is about 80%; the remainder consists of protein, fiber, and trace elements including boron, cobalt, copper, fluorine, magnesium, manganese, selenium, and zinc.Date palm (scientific name: Phoenix dactylifera), also known as date palm, Persian date, Iraqi candied date, etc., is a plant of the genus Eryngium of the palm family. It is commonly planted in Hong Kong for parks or courtyards, hedges, viewing plants and buried road trees. Date palm trees are drought-tolerant, alkali-resistant, heat-resistant, and they like moisture. The age of the tree can reach a hundred years. With high fruit yield, it is an important export crop for some countries in the Middle East. The date palm tree has an important position in Arabian mythology, and above the national emblem of Saudi Arabia is the date palm tree. As an exotic plant, it is also very popular with the Greeks. It is often decorated with its branches and leaves around the temple. In addition, the date palm has high nutritional value and is also called desert bread. The Iraqi people call the date palm green gold. Due to its rich sugar and protein content, and its small size, date palms are easy to carry and store, they have become an important alternative food for people in desert areas. Date palm provides a variety of essential nutrients and is a good source of potassium in the diet. Cooking method:Dry or soft dates are eaten out-of-hand, or may be pitted and stuffed with fillings such as almonds, walnuts, pecans, candied orange and lemon peel, tahini, marzipan or cream cheese. Pitted dates are also referred to as stoned dates.


Special matters: In Islamic culture, dates and yogurt or milk are traditionally the first food eaten by Iftar after the end of Ramadan. So I occasionally see that the worker sister likes to eat dates.
