Hawthorn
This product is the fruit of hawthorn, mountain red or wild hawthorn, which are plants of the Rosaceae family. The former two are commonly known as "northern hawthorn" and the latter is commonly known as "southern hawthorn".

[Properties and functions]
Sour, sweet, slightly warm. Enters the spleen, stomach, and liver meridians. Digestion, relieving stagnation, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, anti-cancer.
[Chemical composition]
Hawthorn fruit contains hawthorn acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, flavonoids, lactones, glycosides, lipase and sugars. Mountain red fruit contains citric acid, malic acid, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, hawthorn acid, oleanolic acid, quercetin, hyperoside, vitamins B and C, carotene, lactones, sugars and lipolysis acid.
