Xinhui Chenpi, from Guangdong's Xinhui district, is a renowned dried tangerine peel made from the fruit of the Chachi citrus, with over 700 years of history as a national geographical indication product. Selected mature tangerines are hand-peeled using the traditional two- or three-knife method, naturally air-dried, sun-exposed, and aged for at least three years. It features thick, oily peels with fine fibrous interiors, emitting a rich citrus aroma—sweet at first, then slightly bitter. Packed with volatile oils and flavonoids, it aids digestion, relieves phlegm, and is commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine and teas like Chenpi Pu'er.
