Nutritional value: Asparagus has a history of 2,000 years and is grown as a medicinal plant in the garden of the monastery. Asparagus should be eaten as fresh as possible. Fresh asparagus is plump and has a moist cut surface that squeaks when you rub them together. Asparagus clears heat, diuresis, helps digestion and defecation, and is rich in vitamin E, which can prevent cardiovascular diseases. Asparagus contains aspartic acid, which has a dehydrating effect. Green asparagus contains twice as much vitamin C and β-carotene as white asparagus.

Cooking method:Asparagus should be eaten as fresh as possible. Asparagus is suitable for cold dressing, and can also be mixed with meat or vegetables. The cooking time of asparagus should not be too long to maintain its fresh and tender taste and prevent the loss of nutrients.


Special matters: People with deficiency and cold should not eat regularly. The purine content is high, and patients with gout should not eat it. The best way to store asparagus is to wrap it in a damp cloth and store it in the refrigerator for up to one to two days.
