About Ka-hung's story
Hello everyone, I am 54 years old, but the memory of my childhood is still deep in my brain, as if I were still staying in the age of six or seven. When I was a child, I heard from relative and family that in that era, my mother was a beautiful girl. She lived in Rua do Campo, Macau, because my father pursued, won the beauty, that time, my father gave everything good to my mother, so quickly started a family. Like your childhood, when I was a child, my younger brother was not born yet, lived in a squatter, with the landlord (rental) family, heard also warm and happy, I still remember when I was three years old, the charterer daughter liked to play with me, I do not know why, these memories are still in my brain.
But fate is not up to you to choose, when I was three years old, my younger brother was just born, my father was working on a freighter, the machine room had an accidental explosion, powerful steam impacted my father's body, I heard him burn his eyes more than the steam, since then blindness. My parents were in tears all day long, and my mother had to take on the family's income and work outside the home when she was very young. Soon we moved into Yuen Long, and my father moved to work in a blind asylum workshop, learning blind embossing, hoping to raise the children and start a new life in a very rural new town, which has now become a beautiful memory of my childhood.
That era, is the parents non-stop work, the family has a sewing machine, is also the golden age of Hong Kong family industry, together handcrafted plastic flowers, produced socks, making gloves, everything is a family to do together, therefore, me, childhood, has trained me like to work hard; Totally blind, but I saw him, even though without sight, only by hands to install laminate for for the house, and in the public housing to build a chicken cage, also for this reason, my father always asked me to be his "blind stick". Without sight, actually a man can do a lot of life and learn many interesting things. It was also interesting for me to watch my father not have to look at the cast iron pan in the kitchen, he can make a variety of dishes by feeling and taste: he can also cook a meal for our family, but usually because my father cannot see the amount of salt, cooking is sometimes very salty. 🥹😅 But the most impressive thing was my blind father who grabbed my hand and taught me to write Chinese characters.
It is also because of this that my mother had to go out to work and did anything, such as washing dishes in restaurants, working as a maid at the end of others, and the work became more and more arduous. Even, in downtown Yuen Long, our family took over the cleaning of more than a dozen buildings. As for my father, he taught me that I do not need eyes, that I can rely on my tentacles as well as to observe and listen, thus also determining that I have a different and keen observation and analytical ability in all kinds of things.
Unfortunately, my father has a heavy inferiority complex because of my mother's work. In addition, because he has no eyesight, he strictly controls the people around him and our behavior. I remember when we were young, we were trapped in the metal gate of public housing. Looking back on this past, I saw the dignity of an inferior man and the deep-rooted culture of male superiority and female inferiority, which formed a strong scar on the father who had no ability to work in that era.
Our family, including me as the eldest brother and two younger siblings, have improved their lives step by step with the government's comprehensive social assistance policy and social welfare support, and can even complete university and master's degrees.

Due to the very difficult road to entrepreneurship, my wife could not help at the same boat, we has to break up: will move to the UK, now hope to step out of the dawn, can give back to family, can repay a few experts and friends who have helped, hope to turn over the adversity.

Due to this flaw and weakness, let me become a person who only likes to fight alone, never learned what is win-win, in the business and career category, life and very hard, but also very lonely, a very dislike their own character, but indulged in personal efforts and struggles.
