Description
Spinach-Nursery
The rhizomes of spinach are underdeveloped and intolerant to transplanting, and they are usually broadcast live. The seeds can generally be stored for 3 to 5 years, and the seeds of 1 to 2 years have strong germination ability. It can germinate above 4°C, and the suitable temperature for germination is 15-20°C. The germination rate above 35°C will decrease, and dry seeds will germinate slowly.
①Put the seeds in O. Soak in 1% potassium permanganate solution for about 15 minutes, and then soak in water at about 25°C for 10-12 hours. After removing it, dry it in the shade until the surface of the seed is slightly dry and sow.
When the temperature is high, the germination can be accelerated after soaking the seeds, that is, wrapped in a damp cloth (or paper towel) and placed at a temperature of 15-20℃. Most of the seeds will be sown after they are white.
②Pour the potting soil thoroughly, sow the seeds on the soil surface, cover the soil about 1 to 2 cm, and compact it slightly. Germination takes about 1 week. If the topsoil is dry before germination, it can be watered by spraying. Seedlings grow slowly. After 2 true leaves, the growth rate starts to increase. Generally, water once every 4 days to keep the soil moist.
③If the density of the seedlings is higher, the seedlings should be sprayed once at the time of 3 to 4 true leaves. When the seedlings grow weaker, you can spray a thin decomposed organic fertilizer once.
Spinach-daily management
① From 4 to 5 true leaves, the leaves grow vigorously. According to the growth conditions, spray decomposed organic fertilizers (complete nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers are required, and more potassium and nitrogen fertilizers are required) to promote growth.
②It is not tolerant to waterlogging. It needs sufficient water during the growth period and avoids drought. Generally, water it once every 1 to 2 days. Water in the morning and evening as needed when the temperature is high, so as to keep the soil moist.
③ 4 to 5 true leaf time seedlings, usually the larger seedlings are pulled out, and the smaller seedlings are allowed to continue to grow. After harvesting, apply a decomposed organic fertilizer.
Note: Thin fertilizer should be applied in the early growth period and when the temperature is high, and the concentration can be appropriately increased in the late growth period and when the temperature is low.
④Not tolerant to high temperature, strong cold tolerance, suitable for growth at 15~25℃, it can still grow when it is above 0℃, but the growth is slow. Spinach seedlings with 4 to 6 true leaves have the strongest cold-tolerance. They can survive the winter safely in the open at around -10°C, and can tolerate short-term low temperatures of 40 to 30°C.
⑤Prefers enough light but not tolerant to the sun. Pay attention to shading. It is easy to bloom when the light time exceeds 12 hours a day; the growth period is short, and there are fewer pests and diseases.
Spinach-harvest
Plants can be harvested and eaten after 4 to 5 true leaves, and the height should not exceed 30 cm.
