Singapore and Hong Kong have also faced problems such as changes in farmland area and manpower due to urban development in the past few decades. To ensure food supply security, the Singapore Food Agency has proposed three major strategies - three food baskets, namely promoting diversification of food import sources, promoting local cultivation and assisting local companies to expand overseas markets. In terms of promoting local planting, the authorities are committed to increasing local production and capacity, and have formulated the "30.30 Vision". It is expected that by 2030, locally produced agricultural products can meet 30% of the nutritional needs of the country's people (of which vegetables account for 20%, chickens account for 20%) Fish protein accounts for 10%)

Event Details

In order to enhance the overall technical level and competitiveness of the industry, "Yuen Long Farmers Market Co., Ltd." recently organized the "Singapore Agricultural Inspection Delegation" to Singapore to inspect local modern urban farms and visit the Agricultural Technology Expo. This sharing session aims to share the findings of Singapore agricultural inspections and project results with the industry and various agricultural organizations through physical lectures and interactive exchanges, hoping to broaden the thinking of the industry and explore new development directions.
