🛍 Product Information:

Binomial Name:Citrus tangerina

Chinese Name:柑 | 柑橘

Other Names:Mandarin Orange | Tangerines

Product Description:Tangerines are smaller and less rounded than the oranges. The taste is considered less sour, as well as sweeter and stronger, than that of an orange. A ripe tangerine is firm to slightly soft, and pebbly-skinned with no deep grooves, as well as orange in color. The peel is thin, with little bitter white mesocarp. All of these traits are shared by mandarins generally. Fresh tangerine juice and frozen juice concentrate are commonly available in the United States.

In Taiwan, the supply period of ponkan is from October to January and February of the following year. October to December is the production period of "Green Ponkan", and the main production areas are concentrated in Tainan and Chiayi. January to April is the supply period for "stored tangerines". They are harvested in January and stored until April. The main production areas are Taichung and Miaoli. There is plenty of sunshine in the Jianan area, and the ponkan peel is still green in early October, but it has become slightly sweet. At this time, the harvest and supply are "Green Ponkan". Green ponkans are not easy to store and can only be supplied until December. In the central region, the sunshine is not as sufficient as that in the south. Ponkans have a longer growth period. When they are ripe, the peel is orange-yellow, with moderate sweetness and sourness.

Variety:Ponkan (Chinese honey orange), Unshu mikan, Tangier, Morocco, Murcotts, Moragne

Supply Season:The main collection period is from November to March of the following year, and Hong Kong is supplied throughout the year.

#Should Be / Avoided:
It is advisable to eat mandarin oranges during pregnancy

Attributes: Flatness
Five flavors: sweet, sour
Efficacy: appetizing and regulating qi

Certain substances secreted by the placenta in early pregnancy can inhibit the secretion of gastric acid, which can significantly reduce gastric acid and reduce the activity of digestive enzymes, affecting the digestion and absorption functions of the gastrointestinal tract, thereby causing nausea, loss of appetite, limb weakness, etc. symptoms. Pregnant women eating tangerines can improve the symptoms of gastrointestinal discomfort, increase appetite, enhance nutrient absorption and benefit the growth of the fetus. Oranges are rich in vitamin C and niacin, which have the effect of lowering blood lipids and cholesterol in the human body. Therefore, pregnant women with coronary heart disease and high blood lipids are good for eating more citrus.
The inner thin skin of mandarin oranges contains dietary fiber and pectin, which can promote laxation, lower cholesterol, and is very helpful for pregnant women with constipation during pregnancy.

It is the season when tangerines are ripe and on the market. Pregnant women can choose to eat 1-2 high-quality tangerines a day. Pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy are advised to eat one orange every two days or more. Pregnant women with poor gastrointestinal function may easily suffer from gastric fecal stones if they eat too many oranges. Remember that tangerines contain more calories. If you eat too much at one time, it will cause stomatitis and periodontitis.

*Edible Compatibility:
Oranges should not be eaten with radishes and milk, and when taking vitamin K, sulfa drugs, spironolactone and potassium supplements, oranges should not be eaten at the same time.

Notes:Tangerine and tangerine are similar, and are often confused in modern Chinese, but strictly speaking, mandarin is larger than tangerine and smaller than orange; the skin is thicker than tangerine, and it is easier to peel than orange. Tangerine and tangerine are also collectively referred to as wide-skinned tangerine.

It is called mandarin in English, and some people will call it mandarin orange~ Compared with oranges, oranges have a softer skin and are easier to peel off. In addition, because the orange itself will produce different varieties according to the cultivation method or weather factors, including Tangerine oranges and Clementine oranges.

Tangerine is also an orange, but it is a kind of mandarin, and its appearance is smaller than mandarin, and its taste is more sour. Some people will mix mandarin and tangerine, referring to oranges.

Introduction to Agricultural Products, Shaanxi-Ping Shu, Hipu Sumi, Agricultural Agricultural Products

The fruit of Hong Kong is either a cheap goods from the mainland, or it is imported far. Platérs are indispensable. It is not surprising that everyone in a fruit wax is not surprising. Plateau Apple is planted in its own orchard. It absolutely does not use chemical fertilizers, chemical pesticides, and Uncle Apple.

Everyone knows that the domestic terrorist poisonous Fuji Ben fruit line is planted (I know that I can go online by myself). I really should eat my belly.

Uncle Ping only transported all the apples he had planted to sell in Hong Kong, and the annual output was limited!

The price of plateau apples is certainly more expensive than ordinary Fuji fruit. Compared to Fuji fruit, the quality is really much different. The clear, sweet, juicy, and thick apple flavor of the plateau apples.
In northern Shaanxi, China, the nation's sunshine time is the longest and the temperature difference between day and night is the largest. Due to the irrigation of high mountains and snow, at the high temperature at noon, the sugar is distributed from the core to the flesh. The cycle has formed the unique Chinese Fuji apple in the world.

🔅 Remark:

HK's fruits are either cheap goods from the mainland, or imported from a long distance. Preservatives are indispensable, and everyone is not surprised if they are dressed in fruit wax. Plateau apples are grown in their own orchard. They absolutely don't use chemical fertilisers or chemical!🍎 Preserve fruits

1. Fruits especially with softer skin, if packaged, should be placed in the cold box in the original package;
2. Organic fruits are more prone to spoilage if they have water droplets. Put the fruits in a ventilated place to dry or wipe off the water vapor, then wrap the fruits in slightly damp newspaper and put them in a plastic bag before refrigerating. ;
3. Organic fruits do not use preservatives or special treatments. fruits are generally stored for three to five days in room temperature only, should be kept in fridge. Some fruits e.g. papaya will decompose enzymes, so they should be eaten as soon as possible.

🍏 How to wash fruits

Special attention: The dishes, especially small flowers and broccoli, are best soaked in the water to remove residual pesticides (I will have organic farms). It is recommended to use our vegetables and vegetables environmentally friendly cleaner Dish Drops for 3 to 5 minutes to eliminate residuals, sand and dust.

1. Wash fruits before eating to keep them fresh;
2. It is not advisable to soak the fruits for too long, and they should be washed first and then cut to avoid the loss of vitamins;
3. Washing fruits with dilute salt water or Dish Drop can easily remove vegetable insects;
4. Cut fruits with a stainless steel knife to reduce vitamin loss;
5. Vegetable leaves contain a lot of nutrients, so you should avoid shredding, chopping or grinding the leaves;
6. Immediately eat after cutting, to avoid the loss of vitamins due to air oxidation.
