🛍 Product Information :
Watermelon in one hand. The price of organic watermelon is high, and it takes a lot of time and effort. Watermelon takes three months to plant, and 100 days from flowering to fruiting. However, due to the hot weather in Hong Kong, the time for planting organic watermelons is limited. The seedlings start to fall in March every year, and the first fruits are harvested in June. After planting, they can no longer be planted in August. The round little watermelon that looks like a common street on the street is a yellow-fleshed melon! The yellow-skinned watermelon is called Tianlan, and the yellow-skinned and red-core Diana is the most popular.
Although the price is high, local organic watermelons are very popular and they are never unsaleable. Organic watermelons have a refreshing taste, unlike ordinary watermelons that will rot open, and only customers who have a bad mouth can eat them, and they will "eat a lot of taste". He also pointed out that the cost of organic farming is high, and if it is not sold at a high price, it will inevitably lose money.
3 kinds of watermelons for the Watermelon Festival, "Black Beauty 168" is the sweetest
Every year, the "Local Organic Watermelon Festival" sells local organic watermelons extremely well, "as many as you sell", more than 50 farmers participate each year, and more than 1,000 watermelons are supplied to the market. Local organic farmers mainly grow three types of watermelons imported from other places, including "Magnolia" watermelon with green skin and yellow flesh, Taiwanese Diana watermelon with yellow skin and red flesh, and Australian watermelon with the highest sweetness, known as "Black Beauty 168". But the central part is relatively multi-core; the yellow-skinned and red-fleshed Taiwanese watermelon is the most juicy, and the sweetness is not bad;
Three ways to choose a good watermelon
To choose a delicious watermelon, you need to look at the navel of the watermelon. The small navel means the skin is juicy. In addition, you can tap the skin of the watermelon with your hands, and the crisp sound means it is ripe. Another method is to flick the watermelon with your fingers and feel its elasticity. Not too hard and not too soft is the best quality.
