Kingbo Matrine

Matrine is an ancient Chinese medicine, which is recorded and described in "Shen Nong's Classic of Materia Medica" and "Compendium of Materia Medica". Sophora flavescens - bitter in taste and cold in nature, clearing away heat and dampness, killing insects, and diuretic. Alkaloids are defensive weapons in plants. The root of Sophora flavescens contains various alkaloids such as matrine. The molecular structure of matrine was determined in 1958 (Figure 2) and is now widely used in the treatment of cancer, hepatitis and skin diseases. Although its insecticidal efficacy has been known for a long time, suitable pesticide products have only recently appeared.

Precautions:
  1. The volume of a tablespoon is about 15ml, and the volume of a teaspoon is about 5ml
  2. Do not mix with alkaline substances (lime, labor, and detergent are all alkaline substances)
  3. Clean the bug pump before using it (the residue in the pump may be alkaline, or it will affect the insecticidal effect)
  4. Do not mix with other pesticides, and do not apply chemical pesticides less than 5 days after use.
  5. Do not store after dilution (the medicine will decompose after dilution)
  6. Do not spray before it rains (the rain washes away the liquid, and the insects will not be poisoned after eating the leaves)
  7. Do not spray fish ponds and streams

Dip the 1:2000 medicinal solution on the cabbage leaves, and then use it to feed the second instar larvae (about 1.5 cm in length) like the army worm, and the larvae die after 24 hours.

Tanaka picked the armyworm larvae on the taro leaves and sprayed the 1:4000 solution directly on the worms. After 3 days, the larvae died.

The aphids on the taro leaves were sprayed directly with a 1:1000 solution. Two days later, the worms were observed to turn black and die under the microscope.
