特徴

果皮が鮮やかな紅紫色の小梅で、アントシアニンが一般的な梅より多く含まれている。

日本で唯一、JA紀南だけが栽培しており、生産量も少ない希少な小梅（1個5グラムから6グラム程度）。

食べ方

梅ジュースや梅酒に利用すると、ワインのような鮮やかな紅紫色に仕上がる。

来歴

昭和57年、小梅「白王」の枝変わりとして田辺市三栖の廣畑治さんにより発見され、平成8年に品種登録。平成17年JA紀南が廣畑さんから育成権を譲り受けた。

Characteristics:

A small plum with a bright deep red-purple skin that contains more anthocyanins than regular plums.

These rare small plums (each weighing about 5 to 6 grams) are only grown by JA Kinan in Japan and are produced in small quantities.

How to eat: Used to make

plum juice, it turns a bright red-purple color like wine.

History:

Discovered in 1982 by Osamu Hirohata of Misu, Tanabe City, it is a branch variation of the small plum "White Tail" and registered as a variety in 1996. In 2005, JA Kinan acquired the cultivation rights from Hirohata.
