The Hoshimi apples from Aomori Prefecture, Japan, are round, juicy, and have a balanced sweetness. The center of the flesh is a dark yellow, translucent nectar gland (sugar core), so the Star Honey apple tastes particularly sweet. The main component of nectar is sorbitol, and the highest sweetness can reach 13.5 degrees.
The Hoshimi apples from Aomori Prefecture, Japan, are large and round with a strong apple aroma.
