GREEN LIGHT®

The Green Light (female variety) has a medium to large fruit with a robust skin and green flesh. This variety, however, has a characteristic of enormous commercial importance compared to the others: it has the ability to be stored in the refrigerator for months without being damaged. The acidity, due to the presence of ascorbic acid (vitamin C), is a typical factor of the kiwi fruit, and determines with other organic acids the antioxidant and self-preserving activity of the fruit itself.

Ripens a little earlier than Hayward and produces medium-sized fruits (similar to Hayward) with a greenish-brown skin. The flesh is quite firm and a little less acidic than Hayward. Can be stored well after harvest.

Kiwi Green Light is dioecious and therefore requires male plants for 'Tomuri' pollination.

Reift etwas früher als Hayward und bringt mittelgroße Früchte (ähnlich wie Hayward) mit grünlich-brauner Schale. Das Fruchtfleisch ist recht fest und etwas weniger sauer als Hayward. Gute Lagerfähigkeit nach der Ernte.
