Gold Sorelli Kiwi is a new generation yellow-fleshed kiwifruit variety, primarily developed and grown in New Zealand. It is characterized by its vibrant golden-yellow flesh, exceptionally high sweetness, and low acidity. The skin is bronze-brown with fine hairs, while the flesh radiates a bright gold color from the core. It offers a smooth, juicy texture with distinctive tropical fruit notes reminiscent of pineapple, mango, and banana. Compared to the more common green kiwifruit, Gold Sorelli has higher vitamin C content and a significantly sweeter flavor profile, making it ideal for fresh eating, juices, salads, or desserts. It is one of the leading commercial varieties in the premium golden kiwifruit segment.

Kiwi or Chinese gooseberry is native to China, namely Shaanxi province. Its extensive development and promotion started in New Zealand in 1904 thanks to the teacher Isabel Fraser who brought kiwi seeds to New Zealand from China. Although kiwi is commonly associated with New Zealand, in fact, Italy produces much more kiwi fruits than any other country in the world.

The yellow kiwi is sweeter and less tart than the green kiwi. It boasts a very pleasant, soft texture with fewer seeds. Additionally, I can detect a subtle hint of pineapple and mango in its flavour profile.

Attractive to the eye, it will also make its visual effect when used in refreshing salads. You can also slice the kiwi in 2 parts and enjoy it on its own.

You can store the kiwis in the refrigerator to preserve their freshness.
