The Dasheri mango is a mango cultivar which originated in a village near Kakori in Lucknow district in 18th century. It is a sweet and fragrant variety of mango grown in North India, the southern state Andhra Pradesh, Nepal and Pakistan. Malihabad in Uttar Pradesh is the largest producer.

Dasheri mangoes have a characteristic sweet taste and are native to North India. Also known as “table” mangoes, these are a delicious variety of mangoes that are low in fibers, pulpy and juicy. You can not only slice them or blend them into juices, shakes, and smoothies, but can also enjoy them whole. These mildly tangy and sweet mangoes are generally known for their tenderness, fragrance and succulency!


Supply Period： Dasheri Mango season in India and Pakistan normally starts at the beginning of June and ends in the third week of August. 

🔅 Notes： 

Ripening: Mango is ripe when the tenderness of the flesh can be felt through the thin peel, the flesh is becoming quite soft and the peel colour is becoming a slightly deeper pale yellow. There may also be some slight wrinkling of the peel, which is not of concern. It is often possible to buy fruit that still has a green tinge to the peel: this doesn’t nesessarily mean the fruit will be immature, especially by late July or August, though best to avoid in June, at the beginning of the season.
