Organic Yellow Sprout Cabbage (scientific name: Brassica rapa var. rosularis) is a traditional Taiwanese leafy vegetable belonging to the Brassicaceae family. It features vibrant green leaves with tender yellow petioles and midribs, offering a crisp, juicy texture and a mildly sweet flavor with a hint of pungency. Grown using organic farming methods without chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, it meets Taiwan’s organic certification standards. Special matters: Chinese Cabbage contains a large amount of non-toxic nitrates. After being cooked overnight, Chinese Cabbage will be stored for a long time. Due to the effect of bacteria, nitrate will be reduced to nitrite. Therefore, Huangyabai is best fried and eaten.
