🌱 Producer Introduction:
There are hundreds of organic farms of all sizes in Hong Kong. One of the largest among them is Youxinji, which covers an area of 200,000 square feet. It was formerly a livestock farm and has the largest greenhouse in Hong Kong. It uses scientific research technology and is committed to developing modern organic farming.
The farm was formerly a pig pen farm. When the second generation took over, they learned that this land, which inherited the family's perseverance and hard work, was also precious virgin land (land that has never been polluted in any way). Therefore, she immersed herself in studying organic farming, biodiversity, and even regarded organic farming as a kind of education that drives Hong Kong culture, planting hope on the land.
Joey is engaged in high fashion. With a gorgeous turn, he sublimated his sense of fashion creation to how to reflect cultivation, patience and enthusiasm through planting. Agriculture is not only a basic industry, but also the spirit and culture of urban life. At Youxinji Farm, every certified organic crop carries a commitment to future sustainable development. The educational activities held on the farm also allow more people to understand organic farming, biodiversity, and their importance to the long-term development of our city.
The transformation from a pig pen to an organic farm bears witness to the power of the land and demonstrates the indomitable spirit passed down from generation to generation by Hong Kong people. The success of Youji Farm is inseparable from the respect and humility for the land and agriculture, and also inseparable from each of you who supports local organic. Let us work together to cultivate Hong Kong and foster a better culture and life for the future! 🌏💚

Effects
1. Can be used as tea: Fig leaves are rich in antioxidants and various nutrients, such as calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and vitamins A, C, E, K as well as malic acid, citric acid, fruit enzymes, etc. You can collect fresh, unpolluted and undamaged fig leaves, wash and dry them and use them as tea. When drinking, wash the tea first, then pour boiling water into it and steep for 3-4 seconds.
Drinking it has the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying, and stopping diarrhea. It generally has a good effect on diarrhea caused by enteritis. Because fig leaves contain high levels of flavonoids, they are effective in treating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hypertension, and blood viscosity in middle-aged and elderly people.
According to a 2017 literature review by Prof Dr Ali Esmail Al-Snafi, which sorted out the nutritional and pharmacological importance of figs, it was found that figs contain alkaloids, tannins, glycosides, flavonoids, terpenes, carbohydrates, polyphenols and other ingredients. These ingredients can help with antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, lowering blood sugar, lowering blood lipids, and relieving constipation. Studies have found that for patients with type 2 diabetes who use insulin injections, giving them a decoction of fig leaves at breakfast can significantly reduce postprandial blood sugar and reduce insulin doses by an average of 12% during the experiment. Animal experiments have found that fig leaf extract (100 mg/kg) can reduce triglycerides and increase high-density lipoprotein in obese rats.
