We want to promote special style of frozen foods made in Hong Kong without additives: no MSG, no preservatives, no colouring, no flavour enhancers, rich fillings and hand-made in Hong Kong!
"Green At Heart" started operations in 2007 and had 2 retail stores before 2016. The owner imports a variety of organic and natural dry goods from the United States and Taiwan. Now it mainly focuses on imported organic fresh produce, such as tomatoes, beetroot, carrots, Dutch onions, pumpkins, oranges, lemons, Spanish sweet potatoes, ginger, Peruvian bananas, there are more than 10 kinds, all carefully selected by the owner, Peggy.
The founder Peggy is also an advocate of food therapy based on the principles of Chinese medicine. From 2011 to 2018, she took various diploma and certificate courses in food therapy. Simple food can easily solve some disturbing chronic health problems, which surprised her.
In November 2021, "Green At Heart" launched 6-8 kinds of vegan soups, dumplings and meatballs made in Hong Kong using organic fresh produce imported from the Netherlands. More vegan and low GI projects are in preparation. Hope to get your support to make our work more valuable.

#basic introduction
Porphyra is a kind of seaweed belonging to the red algae family. It is delicious and rich in protein, iodine, and various vitamins. Regular consumption can help lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and treat thyroid inflammation and beriberi. Seaweed is cold in nature, sweet and salty in taste, and has the effect of cooling off heat, diverting water and reducing swelling and softening.
Variety
There are also many types of seaweed, and there are more than 50 varieties of seaweed produced in the world. Among them, there are more than ten species grown in the coastal provinces of China. The main ones are the round laver, the long laver with a thin body, the brown-green altar laver, and more than ten varieties such as side laver and sweet laver. Generally, the algae are purple, 12 to 30 cm high, and the cultured seaweed can be up to 4 meters long. The color is red purple, green purple or black purple, and it is purple after drying.

How to buy
The surface is smooth and moist, purple-brown or purple-red, shiny and not dull, thin slices, uniform in size, fresh in taste, not salty, tender and light in body, water content not exceeding 8% to 9%, with the unique fragrance of seaweed, no Impurities are top grade.
Storage method Usually sealed and kept in a cool and dry environment. If necessary, store it in the refrigerator for a longer period of time.

#Remarks
Seaweed is the collective name for the alternate algae in the sea. Porphyra is often mistaken for a plant because of its ability to photosynthesize; however, biologists generally agree that it is not a true plant because it lacks true duct tissue (xylem and phloem), unlike seagrass.
