Spring is always the most beautiful time for leafy vegetables. It is the beginning of spring after a severe cold. Vegetables are not as beautiful when there is rain in spring. Today there are watercress, kale, cabbage, lettuce, romaine lettuce, salad greens, lettuce, bean sprouts, and vegetables. Tomatoes, cherries, broccoli, broccoli florets, eggs, passion fruit, sweet potatoes, ginger, potatoes, carrots.

🍎 Activity Objectives

Learn about Hakka culture by making tea cakes, and understand Hakka people’s food culture, festival customs and the meaning behind them.
Get started with the experience of making tea cakes and enhance your creativity.

❤️ Process introduction:

1. Brief Introduction: Tea cake is a kind of snack loved by Hakka people, usually made with tea and fresh fruits. Tea fruit can be used as a drink or as a dessert. It tastes fresh and delicious and is good for the body.
2. Introduce the tools and materials for making tea and fruit. Class content: Make tea cakes under the guidance of the instructor.

Finished product: Students take it home to share with their families, and the teacher collects photos and highlights of the production for display purposes.

Everyone is welcome to invite friends to participate in the workshop on a date of your choice. Classes are open for more than 8 people.

Farm Introduction:

Chiu Je's farm was originally located in Ping Long, Lam Tsuen, Tai Po. Chiu Je, who is a Tai Chi coach and cooking instructor, has changed the farmland from growing vegetables to processing crops in response to the weather conditions in recent years. In addition to selling at farmers' markets, they also organize different workshops.
