Mouneyrac
A fourth-generation French grower of apples, pears and other fruit - established 1928. We work with Serge and Jean-Louis Mouneyrac, the current leaders of the business. The quality of their apples and pears is second to none.
We select our suppliers for the love they put in their products,
seeking the best quality while respecting traditional production methods.
Most of them are family owned, of human size. We value the direct collaboration with them.
By buying directly at the source, we are proud to contribute to the local economy,
while ensuring that, ultimately, our clients get the most tasty and fresh products at the best prices.
All our farmers follow specific certifications minimizing the use of chemicals. From sustainable agriculture ‘’Agriculture Raisonnee’’ (AR) to Organic certified ‘’Agriculture Biologique’’ (AB), these guarantees that the fruits delivered to you a safe and healthy. On top of the tests done by our farmers, we also perform our own chemical test upon each arrival of the fruits.

🛍 Product Information (Main) (English):
For four generations, Mouneyrac has perfected the art of growing exceptional apples and pears, combining tradition with sustainable agriculture to deliver the finest flavors.
The Honey Crunch Apple lives up to its name—bursting with honeyed sweetness and an ultra-crisp, juicy bite. Its vibrant taste and firm texture make it a favorite for snacking, salads, or even caramel-dipped desserts.
The best way to enjoy a Honey Crunch Apple? Thinly sliced in a fall salad with walnuts and blue cheese, baked into a spiced apple crumble, or simply enjoyed fresh for a naturally sweet treat!
Mouneyrac apples are a true symbol of quality and freshness, cultivated with care in orchards that benefit from ideal growing conditions. Known for their crisp texture, juiciness, and natural sweetness, these apples are carefully hand-picked at peak ripeness to ensure the best flavor.
Mouneyrac takes pride in sustainable farming practices and meticulous selection, offering only the finest varieties, such as Golden, Gala, and Fuji, each with its own unique balance of sweetness and acidity. Their exceptional taste makes them perfect for snacking, baking, or juicing, bringing a touch of premium quality to every bite.
In recent years, several variants have also entered the market, such as Royal Red, Firestorm, and Cameron Select, which turn red more easily and quickly and will remain red under less favorable growing conditions. This is controversial among breeders – the red colour is a good indicator of whether the apple was grown in good conditions and has a corresponding flavour – and now, varieties are available on the market that still look great but no longer have the flavour. Since the apples appear ripe, there is also a risk of picking unripe apples.
Honeycrisp is notorious for being time-consuming and complicated to grow. Some breeders call it the most difficult variety to grow. In commercial cultivation, this means that the production cost of apples is about two to three times that of other common varieties. Apples are sensitive to heat and shock, and have a distinct alternation between them. Honeycrisp tends to produce many fruits, so more fruit thinning will be required than with other varieties. The trees themselves often do not grow well. The wood is brittle, so Honeycrisp often breaks where it connects to the supporting stakes.
Apples are usually ready for harvest in early September.
Storage properties are also difficult, as apples lose much of their aroma after a relatively short period of time. Also unusual for a variety that was only introduced in the late 20th century is its susceptibility to bruising, which means Honeycrisp is rarely sold in loose form. This also makes harvesting more difficult, as the apples often have to be carefully placed one by one during harvesting.
