🌱 Supplier introduction:

The Vegetable Marketing Office (VMO) was established in 1946, and the position of director is filled by public officials nominated by the government. Responsible for the development and benefit of farmers. Since the establishment of the vegetable wholesale market, the vegetable transportation and sales business has also begun. In vegetable growing areas in the New Territories, there are 5 vegetable collection stations and multiple designated collection locations to collect, weigh vegetables and process related documents. Later, as cooperative undertakings gradually developed, vegetable production and marketing cooperatives were established. Take over most of the collection stations and undertake the above-mentioned transportation and sales business. Currently, a total of 26 vegetable production and marketing cooperatives have been established. This department still has a collection station to continue its service to facilitate some farmers who do not sell through cooperatives to transport their products to the market for sale.

🥘 Recipe:
Dehumidifying winter melon pork chop soup (serves 4 people)
Time: 2 hours and 15 minutes
Material:
- 2 pounds of old winter melon
- 500g pork bones
- 2 candied dates
- 1 piece of raw land
- 20 grams of lily
- 30 grams of raw and cooked barley
- 20g lotus seeds
- 20 grams of Polygonatum odoratum
- 3000ml water
- Appropriate amount of salt
practice:
1. Soak all medicinal materials.
2. Pour cold water into the pot, add the soup bones, turn on the heat, simmer until bubbles form, and remove the blood and foam from the bones.
3. Wash the skin of the old winter melon without removing the skin and seeds, and cut it into large pieces. Put all the ingredients into a soup pot, add water, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 1.5 hours, add salt to taste and serve.
There is a layer of white frost on the skin of old winter melon. You don’t need to peel it when making soup, just clean the surface.

除湿冬瓜ポークチョップスープ(4人前)

古い冬メロン 2ポンド

練習する:
1. すべての薬剤を浸します。
2. 鍋に冷水を注ぎ、スープの骨を加えて火にかけ、泡が立つまで煮て骨の血と泡を取り除きます。
3. 古い冬瓜は皮と種を除いたまま洗い、大きめに切ります。スープ鍋に材料をすべて入れ、水を加えて強火にかけ、沸騰したら中火にして1.5時間煮込み、塩で味を調えて出来上がり。
古い冬瓜の皮には白い霜がついていますが、スープを作るときに皮をむく必要はなく、表面をきれいにするだけで大丈夫です。

Accredited vegetables are vegetables produced under the Accredited Farm program. In 1994 the Department of Fisheries, Agriculture and Nature Conservation (AFCD) and the Department of Vegetable Organisation (VMO) jointly implemented the Accredited Farm Program to encourage farmers to use pesticides correctly and safely and to farm with excellent, environmentally friendly methods.
One method of testing is that the farmer will not use pesticides for a period of time before the expected harvest of vegetables, which is the vegetable safe harvest period, following safety standards and reducing pesticide residues. Of course, we must rinse the vegetables thoroughly with clean water before eating, so you can eat more safely and assuredly!
